EO roo from Susan's hatch mid-Nov/11

My favorite roo from this hatch, this cockerel is 2 mths younger than my others, does he have too much black/grey markings?

I think we all like that dark look and bulky size.  Curly it that colour almost exactly, but with white legs.  I used him here (didn't have much choice and I was trying to avoid side sprigs) and he has thrown nice offspring like that Roo of Jamies was his son.  There were certainly others that were a touch dark like their Dad, but your boy has nice yellow legs, and his body is a nice shape.  I'd think about him as a spare at least, what a handsome lad.

Too much grey yes but I would use him with the pullets from Claire. He looks like a really nice boy in lots of ways!

Thanks ladies, I will hang onto him to see how he continues to develop and then match him up with Claire's girls. He seems to have a good temperament so far and I do like that he seems to be on the larger side of that hatch =D
