French Breed Standard for Poule Basque

Here is a standard that I found, all in French, but still interesting.  It has pictures of each variety and a few points that we may want to add, for example, it says the eyes are large and brown.  It is written very much like all their animal standards with the same detail i.e.  It says the angle of the tail is to be at 35 degrees and even going on to say how many feathers in the tail :)  (stuff like that).  It may be worth going through for comparisons sake.

It is from the European Association of Poultry, Pigeon, Rabbit & Cavia Breeders website:  http://ww.entente-ee.com/

I also found reference to the terminology for the hens and roosters.
"Oiloa pour la poule, le coq se disant oilaskua."  Oiloa for the hen, the rooster is called Oiloaskua.
Just for interests sake :-)

Re: French Breed Standard for Poule Basque

I read the translated version, it seems very similar (almost exactly the same) as the Spanish version going just from memory. The marraduna color is unfortunately not well described in this version, same as the Spanish.

But a side by side comparison with the Spanish and our English SOP would be worth doing if someone has the time. Some of the words translated in an interesting way and my French is pretty limited

Re: French Breed Standard for Poule Basque

I'm having some trouble with that site.  It tells me IE can't connect to site.  But when I look at the cached version on Google it appears it is the European association and it is in English, German and French.  I cannot find where you found that link. I can get to it if I click on the link but can't find it on the site.  It might be in English and German on there somewhere too?  It very likely is.
