Spammers are done here!

You have seen the announcement above, I hate to put it there and will change it back if I can put a message in the signup emails.  For now I hope it is a deterrent too.  :please:

:jumping:  I asked Smarty the punbb admin and we are able to put newly registered members into another category with limited post abilities, ie none.  I have also limited them searching user lists.  If any one gets any PM spam let me know right away. :surfing:

I will have to move them over to the regular member category manually but we won't have to get up every morning to spam on the forum and I am not sure who saw yesterdays, around 5, but what a treat and we didn't even have to pay for it :funny:

If you have a friend or new member you know about who is legit and dying to post, email me, and I can get them approved quick.  I am hoping we don't even get as many spammers registering so less users to delete, but we are getting pretty good at spotting them even before they post!

I hope this helps.  Sorry for any inconvenience, I hope this is much better. :snowman:

Oh you certainly did miss out! :pics:   Glad it didn't stay long anyway.

Guess what? We had two new registrants today that were spammy, and they didn't get to post so I think it's working.

It wasn't a pretty sight PG.  Well perhaps someone  would have enjoyed it but not me nor my hubby.
