Happy Halloween

Had the Granddaughter this morning and she wanted to carve a pumpkin with her pet rabbit on it.  So we did.  After she left I though why not do ours in our pets also!!!

Re: Happy Halloween

FRF, that is a cool pumpkin :jumping:

PG, I grow ours and they got there first taste of "squishy guts" as the granddaughter was calling them ;).  I give them a few at a time, cause they binge eat them and not their regular food. But I think this year we will have the same thing happen here, as hubby is working at a feed store and they were selling theirs, and after Halloween, no one will buy them so our Chickens will get lots more, will keep them with the squash and see how long they last though the winter.

Re: Happy Halloween

"squishy guts" great description :funny:

I decorate around the house with numerous pumpkins, my first one has just started to go so the chickens will be getting that today.

Re: Happy Halloween

FRF that is one awesome pumpkin  ...one of these years I need to try carving again!

HR...I grow pumpkins and spaghetti squash every year for my chooks. They usually keep all winter, I find a bit warmer and drier they keep better than cool and damp. I cut them in half and feed one or two a week as a treat!
