Rooster & Pullets from gubi :)

Just out of quarantine, here is my new rooster and three pullets from gubi.  So far he is liking the ladies but is quite the gentleman, considering he came from a bachelor pad and was isolated for 4 weeks.  The 3 pullets have just started to lay and have introduced them to the older girls who's pen they will be sharing.  The older girls were being a bit mean so I put my Bielefelder rooster in there to keep the peace and he is doing an amazing job :jumping:

They must like your place I'm still waiting for eggs here.  The rooster came to my place as a chick from Micah and Kiah.

Ah I thought he was from your birds.  He seems to have a good temperament so far.  Yes all three of the pullets are laying there was three pullet eggs in the nest box yesterday.

He's an Elevator son out of the pullets Kathy got from me.  Double checked the pullet pen tonight nope no hidden nests.

Very nice new additions to your marraduna flack Flat Rock Farm. Bet you can hardly wait to let them make babies :)

Gubi I wonder if FRF has supplemental lights to extend the day and that is why she is getting eggs and you aren't?

Raising red cuckoo (marraduna) Euskal Oiloak and self blue (lavender) & black Belgian Bearded d'Uccles.

Yes PG can't wait until Spring !!!  :excited:  Even though he has a bit too much grey in his chest I think overall he is pretty good.

No I do not supplement light to anyone this time of year.  I will once we get into the depths of winter.

Paula,

Even though there are a few colour wobbles, boy do you have yourself some gorgeous "barns"!!!! Can't wait to see what they produce in the spring!

When all else fails, go spend time with your chickens. :)

Pens are currently filled with Red Cuckoo (Marraduna) and Red Basque (Gorria) breeders, Spitz, and Seramas.
