Finally- Got my EUSKAL OILOAK!!

ESKERRIK ASKO :thanks: MAGGIESDAD for giving us such adorable :ikurrina: :chook: //  :EO: :jumping: :cheer: :applause:
My wife and I were like new parents last night, waking up through the night to make sure gure neskak (our girls) were doing fine and nothing was messing with the traktor. Now, we are working on our labrador and beagle to get them used to them. its going to take work and earplugs :banginghead: :stomp: Luckily they will be kept at a great barricaded distance from them. Hopefully, they will get used to them.
I will add pictures by the end of next week of the traktor and girls. Thank you all for keeping this forum :Canada: :US: :union jack: :ikurrina: It has helped a recovering city boy in this life changing and life enhancing process which seeks a different way of life than that offered in the rat-race that plagues us all. Again, eskerrik asko denori ("thank you all very much").

Re: Finally- Got my EUSKAL OILOAK!!

:congrats: Euskal Oiloak are such amazing chickens, they will appreciate all the care and attention your wife and you give them. Yesterday I spent a good hour just cuddling my half grown bunch and they loved the attention competing for who sat on my lap and talking away to me. I hope you have years and years of that to look forward to!

Re: Finally- Got my EUSKAL OILOAK!!

Great pictures :jumping:  Looks like they have settled in nicely.

I love your tractor design made with the PVC pipe, nice and light to move.  I was wondering what the bucket was at the top was for, a nest!!  Very neat

Thanks for sharing the :pics:

Re: Finally- Got my EUSKAL OILOAK!!

Eskerik asko. I think they are happy. The traktor was supposed to be a simple design, which of course turned into a major pain to figure out. But, thanks to God, my wife and dad, things turned out OK. All I did was do the brut force. Anyways, I am glad it is finally done (its really never done) and the girls can have some normalcy now and enjoy.

Room for improvement or expansion? Now you need an incubator, heat lamps, brooders, chick equipment, suitable bribes for your wife...

LOL Chad I came at him with an old styrofoam bator and two dozen eggs, but he got a wild eyed look and started backing away... I had to ease up a bit. He'll come around, tho -the girls are working on him! :chook::chook::chook::thumbsup::chook::chook::chook:

This was a very enjoyable thread to catch up on! Your tractor is fantastic and obviously a labor of love. Those are some very lucky chickens.
