Posting photos using Photobucket

So you have photos you want to share?  It's pretty easy once you get started and we'd love to see them.

1) Register a free account at www.photobucket.com
2) Upload your photos from your computer to photobucket
3) Under each photo in the gallery with be 4 codes.  You want to use the bottom code, the [IMG] code
4) You copy that 4th code with all the brackets etc into a post here on the EO forum and submit!

Ask if you get stuck!  :D

Re: Posting photos using Photobucket

Isn't that the truth! For every good pic I have, I have another blurry one 'cause they get so close to the camera to see what's going on! Thought it was appropriate for an avatar!!

Re: Posting photos using Photobucket

Paula,
For each picture there will be several different codes in photobucket. One of the codes is an IMG code. You need to COPY that entire code and paste it in your thread. When you SuBMIT it will go from one line of mumbo jumbo to showing up as a picture.

Does that help at all? If not, don't get discouraged, we will figure it out!

Re: Posting photos using Photobucket

Okay work with me Flat Rock Farm. I usually use an iPad (talk about having to relearn most everything) but I logged onto my laptop...

Mouse Click on the picture you want to share. It should open a larger version of the picture. Beside it should be an IMG code. Do you see the code?

If you do not see an IMG code use the tool bar at the top of the picture, click on "share" then "more options" then "get link code" then select the box for "IMG for bulletin boards and forums, full size" then "Save"

If you mouse click on the code mine says "copied". If that does not work try right mouse clicking and select "copy".

Then go to the forum thread you want to add a picture to. I right mouse click and then select "paste". The IMG code will paste and then when you submit it should be a picture.

I hope your photobucket is like mine and that helps!!

Re: Posting photos using Photobucket

Just keep repeating the above for each photo. Hit enter between each one so the code is on a new line.

You can submit in between and then either edit your post or post a reply with the next picture to make sure you don't lose your work.

Re: Posting photos using Photobucket

I think Paula is referring to another style of forum that she is used more to where the forums hosts the pics!   If I knew how to set it up here, I would but don't think we can.  Way to go Paula!  :cheer:  You have it, just make sure all the the line of IMG code is pasted   Thanks for helping, everyone!
