Colwyn Pics

Going to post pics in their own box and copy and paste Lisa's notes as to what Judge said under each bird.

Thanks Lisa!

LISA'S NOTES!
Show Results - Colwyn - Sept 28, 2013
•    The EO’s were listed as their own breed, so the best one on show day was ranked Best of Breed, and the 2nd best one was ranked Reserve of Breed
•    They were further divided into 2 varieties – Marraduna and Gorria. So the best of each variety takes Best of Variety, and the second best takes Reserve of Variety

Lisa's Notes
Pullet  171 – 2013 – 20 weeks (son of Roo 1 & Susan’s hens)
•    Head too short – should be longer
•    Weak wing
•    Shafting in feathers
•    Too light for “red”
•    Width is good
•    Breast needs to drop
•    Would be better if wings were up and tail was higher
•    Missing main tail feathers
•    Conclusion – poor head, missing tail feathers, poor colour – ranked 4th of gorria pullets

Lisa's Notes

Pullet  173 – 2013 – 20 weeks (son of Roo 1 & Susan’s hens)
•    Good head

Lisa's Notes

Marradunas

•    Good width through back and breast
•    Needs more breast – not yet dropped, and has a bit of a hollow point on breast (he’s young)
•    Wings good
•    Colour good
•    Conclusion – for his pretty good type and best colour, he ranks as Best in Breed of all the eo’s, and Best of Variety for the marradunnas

Re: Colwyn Pics

Lisa, GMB, Hellifant did a super job.  I messed up and am still mad at myself.  The deadline for show entries was the 18th so I thought that meant they had to be post dated on the 18th.  WRONG!!!! They had to be on their kitchen table on the 18th.  Thankfully they still let my nephew show his TPCs but they had no room for any more standard sized birds.  :stomp:

The EO gang did a great job.  My nephew had a blast.

Thankfully Lisa and Hellifant are coming over soon and we'll do a careful check of the junvenilles to decide who is staying and who is worth sharing and who can be a pet.
