So how many Chickens does everyone have now?

And how many Euskal Oilaok?

Euskies I have 15 5 week olds (keeping 8 or so 3 males, 5 females), 3 one year old hens, 2 one year old roos (one not a breeder) and one 3 year old hens and one 3 year old roo. Lindy Lou and Beth getting 2 pullets each

Others 4 small purple D'uccle chickens, my only banties
9 purple Lav Ameraucanas, 2 of them roos
7 purple orpingtons, 2 to go to Lindy Lou
7 Wheaten ameraucana (4 of them roos), probably harvest 2 of them
11 Black Pendesencas all one year old
3 Black sumatras all 3 years old
27 Chanteclers from 4 different places  they have been quietly multiplying...  I will probably let 3 or 4 females go and I think 3 boys to harvest.
1 BLRW that I was supposed to get to her new home in the summer

I think that`s all....so keeping maybe 63 over-winter.

Next year I want Wheaten Marans and Silver Grey Dorkings back too

So am I high or Low.....? What do you have?

Re: So how many Chickens does everyone have now?

4 FBCM "Soon to be 5 after I get my new roo saturday.
1 Light Brahma
1 American Game "Rescue"
6 RIRs
4 GLW
5 Barred Rocks
2 Supposed Barred rocks but they are mutts or just very bad genetics.

All but the BCMs and American game are destined for sale or the freezer before winter. Hopefully will have my EOs and Buckeys by then. Then no more new breeds.

FBCM, Buckeye, and EOs from then on. "Maybe a trio of Silkies and Seramas next year but they would be my wife's. Plus I will have to build a bantam coop and run for them. =D

Re: So how many Chickens does everyone have now?

Great lists everyone! What a lot of birds!  And I bet they are friendlier flocks than average too!  I love it banties count 1/2.  D'uccles count 1/3 as they are so tiny and hardly eat anything.  Mine are as noisy as a standard.  I hear Violet and Dolly's little voices from outside the barn!
