Some of the girls...

These are some of the blizzard chicks - eggs I took to Conn in Feb and then was unable to meet up with the buyer due to the blizzard. I brought them back home and home and stuck them in the incubator. The three EEs, Brownie, Peaches and Griswold got in my basket somehow  on a feed run at Southern States. Lindy Lou, the EO with a crest is an EO silkie cross. She has her head to the water fount.

The Rooster is Okie, out of Mike's GFF lines. He is awesome - well mannered, easy with the ladies, and a full finger wider on the pelvic bones AND abdominal depth than any EO rooster I've come across. But he has those big honkin' white feathers... in the tail and the primaries.

Re: Some of the girls...

I agree, a nice looking group. Type and temperament before the paint on the barn I would say in terms of the Roo, I really like the look of him in a lot of respects.

Guess I need to get myself out to the chicken pens and snag some pictures to share too MD. It's almost rooster selection time here.

They are looking good. We are starting to see where we can go with this breed if bred and culled right.
