Twisted neck

Have any of you had a hen with a twisted neck? She was fine yesterday, but today she was siting in the yard with here head to the side.
I isolated her and gave her poly sol vitamin water scrambled eggs, but I don't think she is eating at all. Her crop felt empty. I got her to eat a few dried Mealworms, but that's about it.

Any ideas?

Re: Twisted neck

It can usually be reversed by feeding vitamins any time I have seen it in chicks or partially grown birds NP. Some EOs seem very prone to a vitamin deficiency while they are growwing that leads to wry neck like you're seeing. I think it is a vitamin E deficiency but I generally feed a multivitamin supplement if it happens.

I have never seen it in an adult bird however so maybe it's something else in this case?

Re: Twisted neck

Looks like vitamin E with selenium. Thanks PG.

Re: Twisted neck

I hope she is OK. =D  I have had the odd rooster with that and multivitamins helps almost overnight.

Re: Twisted neck

I've never dealt with it but hoping the vitamins do the trick and get her straightened out.
