icestorm April12/2013

Here are some pictures of what it looked like on Friday and why we had all those power outages.

Took this picture from here.  There is still a wide spread of power outages due to the downed power lines.

Re: icestorm April12/2013

That's what we looked like too. Just got our power back on two hours ago. What a nighmare and I certainly hope that's the last blast of winter for us all this year.
Hope everyone else managed to get through  okay. Our hatch was a disaster but the brooder full of chicks were fine thanks to a propane heater and a hurricane lamp for light. John has vowed to get the antique incubator restored and ready before hatching any more chicks. I think I'll just get Paula to do my hatching for me until then.

Some of us are driven by the need to make animals a part of our lives. We are soothed by their presence, fascinated by their behavior, and amused by their antics.

This kind of damage was wide spread too.  Hydro workers have been working none stop to get everyone back online.  I hope it was winters last blast too.
