Re: HATCH DAY (Updated Pictures)

Oh boy it does look like you have a few boys there.  The 2 EO are for sure boys, I think you have 2 welsummer boys and 1 female. The HungarianXsilkie the one with a lot of white looks male and whatever the grey one is looks like a boy also, the barred one looks female but not 100% and the black one looks female but if you said it has a pea comb it will be hard to tell until the saddle feathers come in, being a boy.

Re: HATCH DAY (Updated Pictures)

I guess that means the old girls get a reprieve ( i before e ... except after c ? spelling ?? ) It would be alot easier rehoming them if there was more of a male/female balance....  I certainly do like my colorful egg basket ....

Re: HATCH DAY (Updated Pictures)

Wow they have really grown.  The 2 EO boys look like they will have nice feather colour.

Have to chuckle in each photo it' s the EO who are looking at you or investigating their new surroundings

Re: HATCH DAY (Updated Pictures)

I was thinking the same thing.  Good coloured cockerals and typical, sweet EO curiousityfor humans.  Look forward to more photos as they grow

Re: HATCH DAY (Updated Pictures)

The hens can be that was as well, I call them "pecky".  What I do if they do that I take my pointer finger and give them a tap on the head.  I think they do it just to test the waters and because they are just so curious

I do the same thing.  They also like to peck at arm hairs.  It's cute when they're little, not so much when they get bigger.  Very curious little guys that's for sure.

Herd of Brown Swiss, a few sheep, red cuckoo basque, Silverspangled Appenzeller Spitzhauben, ameraucanas(EE), Welsummer, broodie silkies and a few more heritage hens
