Hi everyone! :hi:
My name is Jen and I live in Chesapeake, Va. I don't currently have any EO's but hopefully that will change soon enough thanks to Naturespace :thanks:

Hello and  :welcome: Glad you could join us and glad that Naturepace could  introduce to the wonderful World of EO's

Some of us are driven by the need to make animals a part of our lives. We are soothed by their presence, fascinated by their behavior, and amused by their antics.

Re: Hey from Chesapeake, Va!!!

:welcome: I might be a bit bias but I think if you like chickens at all it's pretty hard to go wrong with the EOs. There are just so many things about them that make them a great breed!

Looking forward to hearing what you think of EOs once you are owned by a few ;)

When all else fails, go spend time with your chickens. :)

Pens are currently filled with Red Cuckoo (Marraduna) and Red Basque (Gorria) breeders, Spitz, and Seramas.

Awesome!!  I'm a total **sucker** for Lavender Ameraucanas.  Such beauties... I miss my Lav roo!!!  (He left a legacy of a LOT of black Easter Egger and Olive Egger crossbreds!!)

I have to admit that I perked up at your name too... I'm Jenn, and I'm an Araucana addict... (Hi Jenn... wait... wrong support group!)  I'm chasing the elusive combo of big, showy, even, ear-tufts, sky blue eggs, and being fully rumpless.  Well, they are the 3rd favorite of my breeds, next to the EO's (#1!!) and my sweet "little" Jersey Giant gals!

I'm excited for you too!  :EO:

Re: Hey from Chesapeake, Va!!!

Thank you for the welcome everyone! What a friendly forum :happycrowd"
NaturesPace, the eggs are on day 10 tonight. Out of the 9, 7 are developing wonderfully. I've been trying to be very good with the "hands off" so I will check them on day 14.

As far as receiving my Ameraucana's, that never happened unfortunately. Just a strange transaction all together. So, my search continues...
And I feel like I should share a bit of information with everyone that I learned from the Ameraucana purchase experience, if you ever order birds or any animal for that matter and use Paypal to pay, make sure you trust the seller because Paypal's fine print says that they DO NOT cover LIVE ANIMALS. So if for some strange and crazy reason you don't receive your purchase, Paypal will not take the money back from the seller. Bummer.....but thankfully my bank is awesome and they don't give in to scams.   Just wanted to share that because I had no idea and I thought that was an expensive lesson to learn.
