Hotel California, eeek!

Hmmm I seldom log out as I find it easier to check posts throughout the day just staying logged on. So tonight I thought I would log out but I can't! It simply will not let me. I click on logout and it says redirecting but then doesn't. So is it me or is this the Hotel California, where I can check out but never leave, moohaha!! any ideas?

Mah ha ha ha! You have discovered too much :P kidding! Just kidding!

I tried logging out and than back in just now and both worked like they should for me. I have moved this post so hopefully Claire can look into it.

I see you are offline so maybe that means you got it to work?

I never log out either....have you tried clearing out your cache and history?  I'll check the punbb support forum and if no issues, I'll find out from the guy in charge. I'm on it

OK, someone else had this a couple of weeks ago, the guy in charge said

"Users who are having trouble logging in/out should delete their cookies. It's likely that their browser is storing an older version of the cookie: deleting it will fix the issues."

let me know how it goes =D

Re: Hotel California, eeek!

'Will do' means I have to wait until hubby has a minute! :banginghead: I am not a computer literate person. Actually I have been known to literally start monitors on fire. You should have seen the smoke ... my son is very leery of letting me use anything of his that is electronic now. He was there at the time and had just said "mom I'm not really wanting you to touch my computer ...." You can imagine the rest. So I stick to things I do well or at least non-flammable  I will let you know as soon as he 'fixes it' for me.

Re: Hotel California, eeek!

Hubby has been 'house cleaning' my laptop all afternoon ,,, talk about withdrawal ,,, was scarey for awhile :P He kept groaning and laughing and saying 'good lord girl' ,,, harrumph, he is giving me a couple hours playtime and then wants it back for more upkeep etc. BUT the good news is, it worked I can now log in and out at will!

Re: Hotel California, eeek!

Awesome.  Good thing he is a techie type!  Mine won't do that stuff for me, he thinks I should do it myself, so it doesn't usually get done because I am too busy playing on it instead!   Glad you can check in and out at will!
