Margaret Elsinor Derry does it again!!

This lady can write!  :cheer:  First ran into her  authorship while I was breeding collies, when she released "Bred for Perfection: Shorthorn Cattle, Collies, and Arabian Horses since 1800 ". A study of the history of purebred animal breeding since 1800. The books' webpage tells more about author Derry herself.
Now she has done it again with a new book to be released in Jan. 2012 titled, "Art and Science in Breeding: Creating Better Chickens" [Hardcover]  I know what I want for Christmas! I can't wait to read this book. Derry has an admirable ability to take complex subjects and make them not only readable but enjoyable. :jumping:
Margaret Derry writes a lot on the history of animal breeding. Here is the URL to her other books:
Best Regards,

The Margaret Derry book is $42.90 from Chapters so a little cheaper.

Some of us are driven by the need to make animals a part of our lives. We are soothed by their presence, fascinated by their behavior, and amused by their antics.
