Planet smilies

I am just wondering if anyone else just got a "brand new this morning" warning when coming to the forum on Google chrome and I got a malware warning about Planet smilies content on here, some of our smilies.  I am posting on Firefox and it is fine, and just managed to by pass the warning but it is  a bit disturbing.  The same things comes up on ACE too as I know they use many of the same smilies.

I am inclined to wait and see for now, we can remove all those Smilies but it will take hours to replace them with those found on other sites an could have a similar problem anyway.  I'll see if it clears up on the planet Smilies end.  If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them.

For now if you have a virus checker, it may not hurt to run it to be sure.

Re: Planet smilies

I get the message as well, so I didn't open the postings.  I saw it on ACE as well.  I hope I don't compromise my computer by posting :nervous:

Re: Planet smilies

I have not received any warnings but decided to do a virus scan anyway.  Everything is clear on my computer.  I have been on ACE and here today.

Re: Planet smilies

I just by passed it again.  I'll do a scan too.  I think there are worse things out there, just wanted to see if anyone else had noticed it.  Things like that freak me out :nervous:  but there is nothing more irritating than an overzealous security program  too! :stomp:

Yardbirds I have been using it about a month, and hubby doesn't like you can't shut the cookies off, but for my online work, it is so much faster it shaves minutes off waiting for stuff every day.  Firefox is Ok, but mine crashes a lot, and Explorer, I have no idea how anyone can use that !  I wish they would bring Netscape back!

I'm on Internet Explorer and everything is fine here. Fingers Crossed of course. :funny:

Re: Planet smilies

No I'm getting it too. :stomp: I think we are going to have to change the all smilies links.  This is a really bad time right now for me.  I'll try and sort something out. =D

Re: Planet smilies

I went through the smiles on ACE and deleted the one that was from Planet Smile.  We only had one, the guy baning his head.  The rest are from other sites.

Re: Planet smilies

Thanks Bessie, I'll go look for one and re-link it.  I'll sort that enormous chicken out too =D  No problem Paula.  I am finding it more irritating than scary but figured I needed to do something.

Re: Planet smilies

Yay should be fixed, we had 13!  Scuze the new order all new ones are added at the end.  I figured how to get it to replace the old ones too.  Delete them, then rename the new ones the exact same as the old

If anyone still has it coming up as an error thing, hit F5 and try again.  If still a problem, empty the cache and try again.  Mine is OK.  I don't have to go through the warning page now.

Re: Planet smilies

Sorry I did not help with this Claire. Can't beleive how busy it's been. And I never got any warnings on my iPad so there was no ugly reminder of the problem to prompt me to action.

One day last wi ter I did search for a big chicken replacement but I was unsuccessful, I will try again sometime!

Smilies are such a great forum thing!
