Chicks - 4 weeks

Previous posts on this same batch of chicks:

Chick Colors Pt. 2 (and Sexing) - http://forums.euskaloiloas.com/viewtopic.php?id=933

I think I have sexed all of the chicks, but appreciate input since this is my first time.  I am going to run on 6 pullets, so will focus on those in future posts.  I would also love to hear predictions on the colors that the pullets will end up.

There is one I am really puzzling about one though, which you will see below.  I am leaning towards pullet.

PULLETS

BLACK: Willow legs.  Seems to have pretty color and a nice shape.  (Staying)

BLUE: Yellow legs.  Has darker feathers, but also patches of white. (Staying)

GREEN: Yellowish willow legs.  Has darker feathers, but also patches of white. (Staying)
http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/o551/joniajohnson/green_132_IMG_4448.jpg

PURPLE: Yellow legs.  Is mostly white with some light gray feathers.  We call her lavender since she is almost a lavender color.  She is extremely friendly and loves to sit on my arm.  Though her color is not correct she is staying just based on her personality since she is such a delight. (Staying)

RED: Yellow legs.  She has really rich red color.  I am guessing she may end up being one of the best. (Staying)
http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/o551/joniajohnson/red_002_IMG_4442.jpg

WHITE: Willow legs.  She has dark wings but has a lot of white elsewhere.  Her structure is much more "racy" than the rest.  Taller and not the depth of body.

YELLOW: willow legs.  She is pure white and quite large.  I thought for the longest time she was a cockerel.

UNSURE

This one has reddish wattles and comb, but yet the overall shape, behavior, and color seem to me to be more like a pullet.  Hackle feathers seem to be more rounded.  Any thoughts?  I am also curious to hear what this color may end up.

(These are all of the same bird. I just took multiple photos to help.)

Re: Chicks - 4 weeks

Can anyone help with the sexing of this last chick and input on the others as to sex and color?

Re: Chicks - 4 weeks

You have some very nice birds there.   We seem to be having more luck with roos than pullets this year.  I think he's a roolet.  I have 2 boys with that same dense black spotting, but your one is quite brown.  I think he has a little sail or comb and wattles too!  I could be wrong, as the colours seem to be evolving all the time.

Re: Chicks - 4 weeks

It is funny, but I went back and looked tonight (before reading your post) and I had changed my mind and decided he was a roo.

Re: Chicks - 4 weeks

Very odd, that last pic... the chick resembles a cheetah with flipflops!

I've either had too many :wine: or I need a few more... :wine:

Re: Chicks - 4 weeks

Red, pullet, looks like she might be the "deer" color. It's a redder, muted color.
Last one looks like roo with interesting colors. Hope you will be able to keep a boy nearby so you can breed some too. You have a couple that look like they will be nice.

MD, to funny... Again!
