EO's coming to Nashville soon!

I moved to Nashville last summer, and hoped to get some chickens after we got settled.  My good friend Susan (Amblecroft) had some EOs that I had met, and they seemed like a good choice.  (I was delighted to find out that Skyline was actually in TN.)  When we moved to Nashville they were in the middle of trying to legalize chickens within city limits, so we got involved with that while looking for a house.  We did end up buying a house within the city limits, and planned on doing some "urban farming" on our property, so it was great news that the "chicken bill" passed, making chickens legal within Nashville city limits at the beginning of the year.  We have been on a waiting list for EO chicks since then, and ours are set to hatch Monday.

I am also a long time dog breeder and exhibitor, as well as a great lover of the Pyrénées Mountains.

Ditto to the response for Maggiesdad but :Canada::Canada::thumbs:

Re: EO's coming to Nashville soon!

:welcome: very neat that you will be an urban farmer of chickens. Are roosters allowed?

I hope your hatch goes well, :EO: , some of the friendliest birds even as chicks, I think you will enjoy them very much.

Welcome! That is awesome that you can have chickens in the city! There are people here in Saskatoon fighting for it, but the city says no way.

Roosters are not allowed under the ordinance, but I have a friend who is willing to keep some roosters for me.

Re: EO's coming to Nashville soon!

Our chicks arrived today!  Thank you to James at Skyline Poultry for a lovely batch of healthy chicks.  I am surprised by how friendly and curious they are already.  They were not at all stressed when they arrived and transitioned to their new surrounding very well.
