the new girls are laying!

Well I wasn't sure until today, but my oldest EO pullets have started to lay (Daphne and Victoria). And hey JCE, there was definitely an egg from your Jaerhorn pullets in the nest box as well! Good girls!

Awesome!  I had 2 pullet eggs again today too.  When did yours hatch?  Mine did March 1st.

Feb 15 I think. I'll have to check! I like to delay laying,as I think it is better for them to mature a bit, but these girls were born early and are having none of that!

:congrats: susan I am glad you have gotten an egg from the Jaerhorns I have not yet but will be checking more often.


Mainly raising Norwegian  Jaerhorn’s, Partridge  Chantecler’s, White Chantecler’s,  Euskal Oiloas, Ameraucana’s, Wheaten Maran’s, Barred Rock Cochin’s, White Silkie’s , Saxony Ducks, Rouen Clair ducks, Australian Spotted Ducks Lavender Guinea Fowl, Welsh Mountain Sheep, Cashmere Goats and Texas Longhorn Cattle.

Those little jaerhorns were super cute when I saw them this spring. If only I had more space at the Inn!
