Oh I should add that they do not have black spots on their heads, I have marked them with black marker until I can go out tomorrow and get some small zip tags to put on the EO's from another hatch

Re: First Hatch of 2012

Well I think in total I had 9 that did not hatch.  Am VERY happy with what did hatch, especially the three D'uccles I just put them in last minute along with the few others.  Was glad I did

When all else fails, go spend time with your chickens. :)

Pens are currently filled with Red Cuckoo (Marraduna) and Red Basque (Gorria) breeders, Spitz, and Seramas.

Re: First Hatch of 2012

Actually Joe, the only EOs in the States came from our flocks. Still, it would be fun to see them down there. :Canada:   Would that make them " snowbirds" then?? Lol

Re: First Hatch of 2012

I was thinking also that all the ED's in the states came from Canada but on Greenfire farms site they say Greenfire Farms imported the marraduna variety
so was wondering if they might have a different line
