Lavender d'Uccle girl.

This is my poor little Lavender d'Uccle hen. I would love to get a roo for her but I dont think anyone here in NS have them. So she just hangs out in the coop with the d'Anvers.

Sweet little girl, she look a lot like "Violet" my lavender d'uccle.  She is the one on my shoulder in my avatar.  She was sizing up the photographer to see if she could land on her

Yep my Violet does that too, bobs her little head up and down then that's it, she's on you!

What a sweet little hen you have Jamie!   The D'uccle and the Wheaten Ams eggs never traveled as well as all the others, no idea why :roadtrip:

I love the little purple chooks there's something about them!

Re: Lavender d'Uccle girl.

The top of her beak is very long. Is that normal for this breed?

Re: Lavender d'Uccle girl.

She is supper sweet Jamie! Reminds me of my June Bug which makes sense as they are probably sisters!

I find their beaks do tend to get long. I trim my tiny purple chicken's beaks with nail clippers. Not too much but a bit.
