Feathers

As I watch my chickens grow into adults I've noticed that compared to the other birds, Arucanas, the feathers on the Basque seem to be not as tight to their body.  Is this a breed trait that anybody else has noticed?  Especially around their thighs.

Re: Feathers

Yes the EO's definitely have fluffy feathers around their thighs.  It's one part I really like about them.

Re: Feathers

Yeah, cream bloomers are cute.  I think the rest of body feathers are considered tight, but I don't think hard like an Old English Game.

Re: Feathers

Watching them today, in the wind with the other chickens, it seems that their feathers are not held as tight to their bodies as the Arucana.  Interesting to note these little features.
