They are hatching :)

So the last hatch of the year started hatching today. They are a day early as they should not be starting until tomorrow but I am ok with that! I have 2 chicks from Paula's eggs and 2 from Briarwood's so far. Micah's are due to start hatching on Monday, I am looking so forward to these little guys and gals. I am hoping for some of those beautiful legs that I have seen here in pictures. Time to go check the bator again and wish me many fuzzy butts by morning.

Re: They are hatching :)

It always amazes me that eggs from halfway across the country can make it to hatch.  Heck I haven't even been out West yet and my EO babies have!! LOL

Re: They are hatching :)

Drum roll please =D Final count, Paula has 18 little grandchickies here in Qualicum Beach and Briarwood has 12 more. Awesome hatch rate for both. Paula the way I do my ciphering :P that is a 90% hatch rate of the fertile eggs and with 20 of 24 being fertile to begin with that is an 83% fertility rate. I think that is just amazing when you consider in all the factors and things that 'could' go wrong with shipped eggs across the miles! Briarwoods hatch rate of fertile eggs is 86% and 14 of the 15 eggs were fertile which is a 93% fertility rate. I hope you guys are as impressed with those numbers as I am having new little babies to grow up. Thank you and bless you both!
