Customer in PEI

Who is the breeder out east?  I have a friend wanting some eggs or chicks.  Could you email me your email address please.  Thanks.

Re: Customer in PEI

I PM'd you my email Susan.

I'm breeding with 2 strains in Nova Scotia right now. My second rooster is out of Greenfire by way of a breeder in Ontario. My other family is Flat Rock stock over Skeffling Lavender Farms and Flat Rock birds. I will ship eggs if necessary and your friend wants to pay the shipping cost. I can include eggs from one breeding pen or both, either mixed or separated.

Pen A: Rooster - Notorious B.I.G. out of Flat Rock Farms. He has 9 girls with him. One is Mille Fleur Marraduna and another is lighter, almost a slightly yellow/ivory while the other 7 are very close to Marraduna.  This guy throws beautiful healthy chicks.

Pen B: Rooster - Julius out of Greenfire Farms lines by way of Skarabrae Farms in Ontario. He has 9 girls with him out of Skeffling lines. This guy is as yet untested as his first small hatch is pipping now. I'll update on how it looks. He is smaller than Notorious B.I.G. but has darker colors and more distinct barring. One girl in this pen is darker than Marraduna (almost Gorria in color).

I'm still working on building capacity in numbers this year, and will begin serious culling this summer. They are laying very well now so hatching eggs should not be a problem. I really need to get good pictures of the parents.

No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man.

Re: Customer in PEI

UPDATE: I have 6 chicks from that first small test hatch from Family B (Rooster is Julius from Greenfire Lines). It looks to me like I have 6 roosters. Their first feathers are coming in white and their down is lemon yellow, which usually means roosters with the chicks I have hatched. I've linked some pictures of them, also some of the juveniles from Notorious B.I.G.'s pen (He's out of FRF eggs over Skeffling lines hens). I am collecting Family B eggs this week for another set on Friday. So far I have 24 eggs in the basement, hoping for a dozen more in 2 days, but it will likely be somewhat less.

Re: Customer in PEI

:excited: lovely birds.  Looks like you have some decent pullets and cockerels in the juvenile pen.  I see you have some columbian coloured ones!!  Watch out they are known to get BIG!!!

Re: Customer in PEI

I hope they do get big. I'd love to keep some as a side project. If they put on size we could have something more dual-purpose. My EOs are pretty skinny as is. My buff Orpingtons outweigh them from the get-go. Of course the buff girls all think they are blonde bombshells like Marilyn Munro, and they have the booty to prove it!
