Cuteness Factor 10

It's official :EO:

I shared this over at BYC too.  I was THAT tickled.

I put some itty-bitty Ameraucana chicks in the bigger broody box with some 5 - 6 wk old EO's.  One of the pullets adopted them!  It was SOOOOO cute!  I neglected to have my camera at any of the right moments (running chores between caring for my 6 mo old baby).  She would fluff herself up and tuck them in.  They stuck real close to her even under the light.  I declare she was acting like a mini-mom.  She'd talk to them and they'd run around then get right back in the fluff.  :happycrowd"

It was just too cute!  What great mommy genetics.  She's the wrong color (speckled) so I was going to sell her.  I've changed my mind.  Definitely a keeper!

Sustainable urban family farm.  We have four children, an LPD, 3 worthless cats, a flock random egg layers (Wyandottes, Rocks, Sussex, Orp's, EE's) and breeding stock (Ameraucana's, Dark Brahma's, Basque, Swedish Flower Hens, and Mille Fluer Leghorns).  Everyday is an adventure!
