Hello from Gilbert Plains, Manitoba

:Canada: I want to know who invented EO's since I am now hooked on these beautiful friendly birds? I would like to have a chat with him/her ;) Seriously I  them. I have only had them for like 3 weeks  and I have to have more. I am very new to raising birds although I have had some in the past around the yard, bantams, 1 peacock, some guineas and a few male pheasants. I bought my birds in the spring this year and finally got them home just 3 weeks ago. My intent was to only have peafowl but got bit by the chicken bug because of my friend Glenda (GMB) on here and decided that along with the peafowl I would like to raise one or two breeds of chickens. Wasn't sure which breed at the time, but know for sure now one will be Euskal Oiloa!! :EO:  I have 2 young hens, I am told a Milli and a Marraduna. I was lucky enough just a couple days ago to pick up two 7 month old Marraduna Roosters, one light, one dark. So I am all set. I am very serious about helping preserve these fabulous EO's so when I figure out how to post pics feel free to critique them. I am learning and don't know a whole lot about them other than I am addicted to EO's. Right now along with the EO's I have 8 Peafowl (4 males, 4 females), 4 young Guinea Fowl (all pearl with one pied), 3 Orpingtons (black and 2 blues, roo is blue). A couple of white chickens that were suppose to be EO's ?????  I will be asking for your opinion on those white ones too. If you haven't noticed I babble!! Happy to be here, will learn a lot.. :EO:  Happy Thanksgiving!!

Re: Hello from Gilbert Plains, Manitoba

Welcome! Looking forward to chatting about EOs with you. Your white ones are almost certainly EOs as well but recessive white.

It's great to add another person owned by their EOs to the mix :happycrowd" :Canada:

Raising red cuckoo (marraduna) Euskal Oiloak and self blue (lavender) & black Belgian Bearded d'Uccles.

:welcome: PD!

And :congrats: on your excellent taste in breeds! ;)

When all else fails, go spend time with your chickens. :)

Pens are currently filled with Red Cuckoo (Marraduna) and Red Basque (Gorria) breeders, Spitz, and Seramas.
