hubby was in a MVC today

I actually wanted to post this under good things do happen as no one was killed, no broken bones and no blood! But unfortunately hubby is already dealing with a double concussion and his head did ricochet off the steering wheel. Hubby was stopped behind a vehicle that was turning off the highway, the car behind hubby rear ended him at full speed. He heard the sound of screeching tires (it was raining hard) and only had time to see the car as it hit him. We are on the way to the doctors office shortly but I can't sit still and needed to blow off some anxiety, so here I am  :thanks:  for listening. The three occupants of the other vehicle are ok (seemingly) their airbags did deploy but their car is a total right off and had to be towed away. I feel so bad for them, on their way to Tofino for some R&R and surfing, but again no major damage to their bodies . Gary was driving our Honda Ridgeline and although it needs to have a new rear fender, bumper, lights and we'll see about the framework it is at least still drivable. Thank God he wasn't driving our little Honda Fit as it may not have served him so well?? Also thank God that he drives defensively and had stopped far enough behind the fellow in front of him so that even with the impact he did not hit the car in front of him, whew!! See lots to be thankful for...XOX Monika

Re: hubby was in a MVC today

Oh Monika I am so sorry to hear about your husband but glad to hear no serious damage ,My husband rolled his truck some years ago and although he wasn't hurt the anxiety level still runs pretty high. My thoughts and p.rayers go out to your both.

Some of us are driven by the need to make animals a part of our lives. We are soothed by their presence, fascinated by their behavior, and amused by their antics.

Monika,

What everybody already said!

When all else fails, go spend time with your chickens. :)

Pens are currently filled with Red Cuckoo (Marraduna) and Red Basque (Gorria) breeders, Spitz, and Seramas.
