Congratulations Gubi and Poplar Girl

Shawville Fair (near Wakefield Quebec) show Results are in!   :excited:

They were in the a a standard layer class against stunning Coronation Sussex and Wheatan Ameraucanas and RIRs and many more

Michelle and I did an egg trade and I got a number of very stunning boys.  I traded two along with Gubi's two Blondies for a wack of show quality Partridge Silkies

There new owner said the classes had very nice caliber competition.
They birds were judged on the general qualities of the standards that are the same or similar in these breeds and guess who one for best standards:

Alberta  son won First  out of a class of 7 and his brother got 3rd
Gubi's girl won first out of a class of 17 the other girl didn't participate because she got a bit plucked.

That's very neat!  And to think she was just running around the pasture here a couple of weeks ago!   I guess the judge realized what we already know EO's are the best farm chicken breed around.

Herd of Brown Swiss, a few sheep, red cuckoo basque, Silverspangled Appenzeller Spitzhauben, ameraucanas(EE), Welsummer, broodie silkies and a few more heritage hens
