New Euskal Oiloak!

I finally have my new chickens-- imported all the way from Quebec :cheer:  Well, I don't "have" them yet but my son who lives near Ottawa picked them up for me so they are "in the family" (half way here :roadtrip: )  What a to-do it was to finally get them after almost a year of planning and negotiating.  Almost as much effort I have getting a dog imported from France!  But I'm thrilled with the pictures my son sent me (he has no appreciation for chickens other than eating their eggs).  They are living in a make-shift coop so I hope to bring them home within the next couple of days.   Anyway, they are healthy, with thanks to a generous friend in Quebec who purchased and cared for them for the last month+.   They seem to be a good-looking, uniform bunch.  Their bloodlines are from the original ones being sold by Eric Rivard in Quebec.

Re: New Euskal Oiloak!

I'm liking the look of your new hens

It's quite exciting that you've found another flock that goes right back to the original preservation Genetique hatchery.
