Be very very careful.  Soon you will be looking to buy a second one.  I am speaking from experience.    :chairhide:     :congrats:

I used that model plus two newer sportsmans last year. That one was by far my favourite! Nice find :)

Re: The Devil Made Me Do It!

Ok so I had a free shelf in my 1202 and it was just screaming for some eggs. So today I set 24 ENORMOUS goose eggs in it! I have giant Africans, buff Toulouse, productions, and mixes. DW didn't know what type of "eggs" we were driving out to pick up today. My daughter and I were chuckling evilly the whole drive. :do?: This incubator is bringing out the evil side...I tell you the devil made me do it!

Re: The Devil Made Me Do It!

Yes the 1202 has an auto turner and a hatching tray at the bottom but I hatch in my hovabator, which keeps my 1202 clean and rocking along at the proper 65% humidity without disturbances or humidity spikes. Recently having set that mega hatch of 60 eggs, I needed to expand my hovabator-cum-hatcher and a friend gave me a tip. So with the impending hatch of those goslings this is what I made:

He told me to attach the top of my hovabator to a styrofoam fish crate, and cut out the fish crate top. So that's what I did! I used the cut out bit to create a set of water channels in the bottom of my fish crate and now I have the UBERhovabator! A bit iof Elmer's School glue and some inventive tweaking, insert one turkey thermometer through the side of the crate and PRESTO!  this is what I now have for hatching:

Pretty nifty huh? Its keeping excellent temperature with the forced air Hovabator top and the humidity is nice and high, just as I like it for hatching! :jumping:
