New Grow out Brooder

Just about finished the grow out pen/brooder in the basement.  The 6 week olds from my latest hatch are too big for the cage brooder and is still too early to be outside and also cuz I can't build a tractor in 4 ft of snow in my backyard.  Have yet to install a slideout floor under the hardware cloth for fertilizer removal ( is just going to be 1/2" plywood covered with a sheet of greenhouse plastic and will put shavings down to make sweeping it out easier. )  Here are a few pics.

Be nice...it's only the second thing I have ever built.   :chairhide:

there is a hinged piece by where the feeder is going to be to facilitate adding feed without removing
the feeder.

Re: New Grow out Brooder

Looks great yardbirds , at least with the wire mesh on the floor you won't get as much dust as if they were right on the shavings.  That's what I hate......the dust :stomp:
