Wow it's been awhile since I've seen EOs of this age! Looks like you have some young ones there with nice potential. Looking forward to the rest of the :pics:

Thanks, this was my first test hatch of the year.  One I wanted to try out my new incubator and two I wanted to see what chicks would look like with the breeding pens I have set up.

Thanks to Kathy for sharing the photos of them

Yes, that is what we hope.  She is the only one whose future colour I am totally certain of as I haven't had many baby pullets.  What colours will they other 3 girls be when they are done growing?  I think they will fall into correct Maradunna shades?

I'll try to take fresh photos.

Re: Flat Rock Farm's Kazoo and Kramer's first 2013 kids; 6 weeks of age

Very Nice, :congrats: both of you! I think they all look pretty good.  Looks like you have a tendancy to mossiness in 59 and a little in 68.  But they all look very promising, likely all 3 are good.
They do get richer coloured (the beige/brown), less faded-looking til they get to POL then they may fade again in the summer sun.  You will soon get an eye for how they will turn out.

Monster has lovely tree trunks for legs.  They are both handsome fellas.

Re: Flat Rock Farm's Kazoo and Kramer's first 2013 kids; 6 weeks of age

The light in my office is too yellowy.  I'll try to get photos up in a week or two in natural light or under blue bulbs.  It'll have to wait until after the show.  Guess we better name the biggest boy quickly!  If we name him monster then will he act like one?  What if we named him that and he stopped growing, we'd have to call him shrub! :funny:

You should call him "Baby Huey" cause he is a baby but just so darn big :funny:  I figured he was a boy before he started feathering out he was just that much bigger than the others.

Thanks for posting for me FRF, I have a tough time with photobucket.
These chicks have lovely personalities too!
Got a weird question for somebody out there... you see how lovely and deep yellow their legs and beaks were when they were little?  Well, now two of the three have faded to willow    Am I missing something in their feed?    Should I get them on vitamins?  What's going on?

Those aren't the parents, they are the brothers and sisters of your eggs!  :chickout:  They are about... four months old FRF?

When I get back I really need to weight my giant babies.  They seem huge for four month olds, especially Huey.
