:chairhide:  I just changed that towel yesterday morning....  it was funny how especially the EO's tried to dust bathe in the fresh soft towel (no fabric softener or dryer sheets, just air fluffed)

That second EO, the one in focus, sure looks like a cockerel or "K". That was for MD. :P

:jumping: for Hungkies and Hylkies   The yellow headed one looks yellow with the flash under the infrared heatlamp but is actually quite creamy white.  =D

Re: HATCH DAY (Updated Pictures)

Hopefully he/she will sit still....while the EO's and the grey cross were all over my hands and arms...the little "yellow"  took a mad dash toward me from the opposite end of the cage, and turned about just as quick and was back at the start line....lol  almost like chickie tag....  that little sucker sure moves fast...

Re: HATCH DAY (Updated Pictures)

Oh I love it! It has very interesting coloring and I have a thing for feather legs anyway, so you had me there. Cute name!

I know some people say not to name them but I just can't help it. It makes it possible to have a conversation with someone about the same chicken and have everyone be on the same page..

The EO's are right up in the camera and always out of focus.   Will try and get some pics of them too after the batteries recharge.

Re: HATCH DAY (Updated Pictures)

WEEK 4

Looks like alot of roos to me.... 2 of the wellies, both of the EO's, one of the HY crosses, (the bluish/grey one) and the other two HY crosses am unfamiliar with walnut combs and both of them are smaller and plump so am thinking bantams??  Both of those are darn cute but even if they are pullets....I am hoping for bigger eggs    The barnevelder turns out to be the product of an adolescent black ameraucana taking advantage of a barnevelder beauty and the jury is out on that one....pea comb perhaps but quite a tail on a four week old compared to say the wellies....and the remaining wellie is a gal...

Sorry, they aren't the best pics....they move around so much and are in and out of focus...the tidbits of bread didn't help either but did get them to move around so I didn't end up with just front shots....opening the cage would have had them all over the floor and me trying to catch them without stepping on them....  :funny:  The last pic of the HY cross you can see the wattles developing and both EO's are just starting that development.
