Need More EO and Black Penny Hatching Eggs

Hey all, I wanted to make a post here to let people know that I will be interested in purchasing some EO and BP hatching eggs this winter/spring and didn't know who ships them. It would be wicked if anyone was willing to ship day-olds but eggs will do in a pinch. I have one pair of pennies and am hatching from them, but don't want to do any sibling crosses. I really want to raise more of these beauties for their wonderful big eggs, more even than for table birds. I also have only 5 EO's currently and they are all hatch mates. I really want to promote EO's here as they are almost unheard of. I need new blood! I'm in Nova Scotia and was wondering if and how people can ship hatching eggs this side of the country? Please post here if you ship or have waiting lists, and what the costs may be. Ideally if I could find someone in Quebec or New Brunswick I could drive out and get them...

I have EO hatching eggs to offer in the spring but not now as my roosters have been away from they hens for a month (they needed the break).  I do ship as well.  Anyway the offer is there if you would like some in the spring :wine:

I generally start hatching in December, but it can be too cold to ship then. I generally ship eggs until late Feb or March. Once they can get outside I let them out ASAP. (Oh- and I do have a waiting list. It's getting full)

Re: Need More EO and Black Penny Hatching Eggs

My niece's husband has family in New Brunswick (or maybe N.S., not sure) and they come out for visits every once in a while.  I can send eggs back with them I'm sure.  I'll let you know the next time they come out, possibly Xmas or maybe my niece's family  will be going out there.

I've got 3 dozen eggs in the incubator right now.

Re: Need More EO and Black Penny Hatching Eggs

I should have some BPs (I have 9 hens and 2 roos) , but not for another 2 months or so, if my calculations are right.  We are in the middle of moving the birds, hopefully within 2 weeks, when I'll remove the wrong roos then, so add 4 weeks, then a couple of weeks to collect and make sire they are fertile.   I'll send you them for the price of shipping, I am happy to share them with you, just sorry it is so late.  The beauty of the BPs is they grow so fast and can easily catch up! :hatch:  Kenya will likely be all ready to go with hers! There are getting to be quite a few in the Stratford/Woostock area :jumping:

Re: Need More EO and Black Penny Hatching Eggs

Hmm... my EOs are laying well the Gorria trio is fertile and they are from Susan's stock and possibly Popular girls? (chick photos coming when things calm down) as is the Mille Fleur trio (Susan's stock for the boy and SLF for the girls) and Elevator (he and his three ladies are pure SLF.  Unfortunatley Elevator is currently monogamous.  :banginghead:
We are attempting a few tricks to get him interested in the other two girls and will keep you updated. I don't want to ship his eggs until I know he is mating with all three hens.  Shipping will cost close to the same as it did from FRF I expect but if you are interested pm or email us.

All the best,
