Hi from Martensville, Saskatchewan

Hi everyone, greetings from Martensville, SK.
What a great site this is.  We have just discovered it and have had great fun reading all your posts.  We have had chickens on our small acreage for almost 2 years and bought some EOs this spring.  They are my absolute favourites, I call them mommys girls.  They run out to greet me each morning and prefer feeding from my hands than eating off the floor.  Such fun little ladies.  We are looking around SK trying to find some more to increase our flock but our local suppliers are all out of stock.  We have an EO roo too so once our ladies are old enough to start laying we will try a few eggs in our homemade incubator.
Our flock includes 4 isa reds, Dr Pecker (our isa red roo), 2 EO hens, an EO roo, a few Ameracaunas, a little Polish crested black roo and a few other hens breed unknown.  We enjoy them all.

And I forgot to include our 4 lively cochins and one very naughty dog who eats the chickens when we aren't looking!!!!  Long chain now used.

:welcome: glad you have enjoyed the forum so far. EOs are certainly personable chickens, mine run flapping their wings towards me full speed ahead...I mean really who can resist that kind of welcome!

Re: Hi from Martensville, Saskatchewan

It is a great name isn't it.  One of my work colleagues suggested it as a joke but the name stuck.  Dr. Pecker is a real gentleman and makes sure his ladies are safe and well looked after.  When I can get to grips with  this new fangled mac computer I will post a few pictures of him.
